Choose which station prints each item. Create your stations first (see Set up kitchen stations).
⚠️ Items you haven't set a station for won't print anywhere. Add a new category and forget its station, and the kitchen gets no ticket for it. After catalog changes, run the check below.
Send items to a station
Most kitchens: give each department a station, then change only the categories made elsewhere. You need admin access to Vendora; if you can't save, ask your account owner.
In Vendora, go to Settings → Devices, open the Kitchen Display Systems tab, and click KDS V2, then open What prints where.
In the Routes to column, click the entry next to a department and pick a station.
For a category made elsewhere, click the arrow next to its department and do the same for that category.
Click Save changes.
Make an exception for one item
Example: set Drinks to print at the Bar. If you want iced coffee made at the Coffee station, set just Iced coffee to Coffee. Everything else in Drinks still prints at the Bar.
On the Stations tab, click the pencil icon on the Coffee station's row.
Under Pinned products, search for the item and click it. It saves straight away.
An item prints at one station only, so this moves it off any other. To undo, click × next to it.
Stop an item from printing
Mute things the kitchen never makes, like bottled water or retail items. They still ring up as normal.
On What prints where, click the entry next to the department, category, or subcategory.
Click Mute, then Save changes.
Check it
On What prints where, open each department and look for rows that say Unrouted or show no station. Set a station or mute each one.
Ring up a test order with an item from each department and check each prints at the right station.
If an item doesn't print
Row says Unrouted or shows no station: pick a station and save.
Row shows a station: check it's Active and has a printer (see Set up kitchen stations).
Delivery-app order: these never print at any station.
Rung up with Manual Entry at the register: only catalog items print.
Row says Missing identifier: you can't fix this yourself. Contact support.
